The Admissions Office Staff Assistant greets office visitors, answers phone and email information requests, is knowledgeable of all academic programs offered at Fuqua, assists with the campus visit programming, and provides administrative support to all staff within the Office of Admissions. Working in an administrative team environment, the Staff Assistant reports to the Office Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to greeting prospective students and other office visitors, answering main ACD telephone line; answering or routing general email inquiries; retrieving, opening, sorting and distributing the incoming mail; entering prospect data into databases; ensuring all new mail inquiries are logged; fulfillment of outgoing mail, including inquiry packets and FedEx shipments; maintaining office inventory: supplies, kitchen supplies, publications, gifts for alumni and prospective students, info session materials; maintaining staff information; taking and distributing notes at staff meetings; maintaining staff information; reserving conference room spaces; and assisting with campus visits and information session preparation. Accounting Specialist, Level 08, (401423550)

The Accounting Specialist works as part of a team of accounting professionals to perform a variety of complex accounting tasks involved in maintaining financial records, reviewing and approving corporate card transactions and student reimbursements, monitoring, verifying and reconciling accounts. The Accounting Specialist works with faculty, staff and students to assist them in understanding accounting and procurement policies and procedures as well as serves as the liaison with Employee Travel & Reimbursement.  This position reports to the Assistant Director of Finance. The Project Coordinator (Staff Assistant) for MBA Career Services is an integral position within the Career Management Center (CMC) team. S/he works closely with the departments’ leadership to realize their respective goals. The Staff Specialist will perform administrative duties of a confidential and technical nature in support of the Dean’s Office at the Fuqua School of Business.  This individual will support the efforts of the Administrative Coordinator to the Dean and report to this individual. The Staff Specialist will be given a variety of clerical and routine administrative tasks which requires close attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. This individual serves as host/hostess for visitors to the Dean’s office so a warm, professional and helpful demeanor is required at all times. Additionally, this position will serve as liaison between vendors who supply the Dean’s Suite including the stocking of the copy room, kitchen and Boardroom. Must be able to multi-task efficiently, comprehend and retain tasks assigned and work effectively as an integral team member. The Sector Manager partners with the Sector Directors in the Career Management Center to plan and facilitate engagement opportunities between employers and students within assigned industry sectors. Responsibilities include maintaining day-to-day company relationships and supporting new business development. He/she also may advise both sets of stakeholders on recruiting and industry trends of the sector. This position is an integral part of Fuqua’s Career Management Center (CMC) and reports to the Director of Employer Engagement and Operations. Bachelor’s degree required with three years of professional work experience, preferably in career services, recruiting, or customer service. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to interact effectively and build relationships with a range of constituents including graduate students, business leaders, employers, alumni, faculty, and staff at all levels. The Assistant Director is the main point of contact for all Executive MBA (EMBA) HSM related activities and initiatives, and is responsible for providing operational oversight for the EMBA HSM program. This individual works closely with a variety of HSM stakeholders including faculty and numerous groups across Fuqua and beyond. Front End Web Developer, Level 12, (401409356)

The Front End Developer will play an important role in the development of digital design and layout, user interface, and user experience to produce eye catching, polished and professional media that will be consumed on a multitude of devices. This team member will also be responsible for maintaining the current Drupal code base, testing functionality and suggesting and implementing process improvements for the delivery of web content. In addition, the team member will be involved with multiple different systems related to the prospective student experience, including customer relationship management tools and mass mailing software. The team member will work closely with internal and external, technical and non-technical partners to deliver memorable experiences within the school’s brand standards, and custom content that is easy to navigate. This position reports to the Director of Digital Strategy and Implementation. Bachelor’s degree required along with a minimum of 2 years’ applicable experience. The Sector Director for Technology is a senior staff position in the Fuqua Career Management Center and reports to the Daytime Director for Career Management. The incumbent works closely with a variety of constituents to envision, build, and strengthen career support broadly within the Fuqua student population, and specifically within the Technology sector. The incumbent serves as the primary owner and strategist towards the dual objectives of student support and employer relationship development. To capitalize on the full value of the incumbent’s activities, the role requires proactive communication and significant collaboration within the entire CMC team and across student groups and populations; a variety of Fuqua departments; other areas of the Duke community; and corporate recruiters and alumni. Graduate degree strongly preferred, especially an MBA, Master of Counseling, or other relevant discipline. Minimum of 5 - 7 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in technology or recruiting/HR. Strong portfolio of communication skills, including presentation and advocacy, are essential to this position.
