Bio

Briand Greer is President of Honeywell ASEAN where he leads Honeywell’s complete portfolio of business—Aerospace & Transportation, Automation & Control Solutions, and Performance Materials & Technologies across the region. Previously he led Honeywell Aerospace Asia-Pacific and was responsible for the business across the region. Briand was Vice-President, China/Asia-Pacific Growth from March 2011 to November 2011 where he worked closely with AVIC to develop new business opportunities. Before joining Honeywell in 2002, he was co-founder and President of Aerospace Hardware Exchange (AHX), the world’s first online trading marketplace for aerospace commodities. He was also Director of Worldwide Distribution for Fairchild Fasteners, Inc., and Director of International Business Development for UNC, an aviation technology, maintenance and services company.

Briand has more than 20 years of experience of in the aerospace industry, including ten years as a leader in both the commercial and Defense & Space businesses at Honeywell. Before coming to China, Briand was Vice-President, Global Sales and Business Development for the Aerospace Defense & Space strategic business unit, with responsibility for driving growth and sales excellence across the business. In Honeywell’s commercial business, Briand was Vice President of Airline Sales, leading all global airline sales and business, and developing strategies and execution.

As an officer in the U.S. Navy, Briand was a Naval Flight Officer with VS-29 aboard the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) and a Commander in the Naval Reserve. Briand holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Affairs from the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, and an MBA from Duke University, Durham, NC. His academic experience includes graduate-level management studies at Harvard University, the University of Tennessee, and with the U.S. Department of Commerce.
