The Career Management Center

Fuqua’s difference comes from our Career Management Center (CMC), a team of professionals with industry and functional expertise who collaborate with working professional students as well as executive recruiters and potential employers.

Our career coaches provide one-on-one coaching virtually, tailored to your needs. Fuqua's coaches help you navigate all aspects of successful career management, from the start of your program, after graduation, and throughout the duration of your career.

Business Development sector management, specialists in specific industries and functions, educate organizations on the capabilities of our graduates, connect prospective employers with Fuqua students through our recruiting resources and services, and build relationships with key firms.

Student and Alumni Services teams provide you with relevant workshops, deliver online content, and build resources for current students and graduates.

You’ll find a proactive and flexible approach to online career management for MSQM: Business Analytics students. Whether your focus is on positioning new business analytics skills effectively in your current organization or exploring a new direction, our team is equipped to support your journey. From individual coaching to virtual career services, you have a partner helping to ensure the successful development of your business analytics career over the long run.

Our coaches help you address any career challenge or goal you would like to address. They will work with you to define your personal career objectives, develop a strategy, and gain tools that will serve you now and throughout your career. You’ll get coaching on the skills needed to advance within your current company, or help to map out an effective transition.

The process is optional and confidential. You can work with your coach via email, phone, or video conference, and at a pace that fits your needs and schedule.

Complementing the personalized assistance you’ll receive from your coach and CMC team, additional resources are available to you anywhere you live and work.

Find employee-written company reviews, salary data, and in-depth interview information, such as questions asked and the length of the interview process.

Resume Database

Employers and executive search professionals regularly search Fuqua's Resume Database for prospective employees based on industry, function, desired work location, and work authorization. You can include your profile, resume, and job search preferences within the database if you’re interested in an external career change.

Your Network

From the start of your program, you’ll join Fuqua’s circle of over 28,000+ alumni professionals making their mark in a range of functions and industries worldwide—14% of our alumni live outside the U.S. Many are looking for seasoned executives capable of bringing value to their organizations. There are 49 active Duke Regional Alumni Groups; 12 of these are in other countries. Upon graduation, you will automatically become a member of the Duke Alumni Association (DAA), joining more than 195,000 alumni all over the world, and you will have access to all the benefits, programs, and services provided by the DAA.

International students should be cognizant of their desired career location when evaluating whether or not to apply to this program.

U.S. Work Authorization

Students with U.S. work authorization who are already working in the U.S. on a visa may find the MSQM: Business Analytics program a good fit for their career goals. International students interested in working in the U.S., who are searching for OPT designation or who need to be sponsored to work in the U.S. and do not already have that sponsorship, should understand that the MSQM: Business Analytics program does *not* have a STEM designation or provide OPT when evaluating whether or not to apply to the program.
